Cammeraygal High School

Empowered To Achieve

What we offer

Cammeraygal High School is an evolving 7-12 comprehensive coeducational school which caters to the academic, extracurricular and wellbeing needs of students in the lower North Shore of Sydney. The school accommodates over 880 students and more than 100 teaching, support and administration staff across two campuses. The year 7, 8 and 9 cohorts are enrolled at the school on the Pacific Highway campus with year 10, 11 and 12 cohorts on the West Street campus. Both campuses offer state of the art facilities that encourage student collaboration, connection, and enrichment.

Hall / Gymnasium

The Hall is used for sport, assemblies celebrating student achievement, examinations, student performances and other school functions. The Pacific Highway campus has a full-sized outside basketball court and is also well equipped for other sports such as volleyball and netball. It also has an internal court and roof top court for training and PDHPE lessons. The West Street campus has a new multipurpose hall which includes a competition-sized basketball court and performance stage.

Learning Spaces

Our learning spaces are designed to enhance opportunities for collaboration and meaningful interaction between students and teachers. All classrooms feature air conditioning as part of the NSW Government’s Cooler Classrooms program. The West Street campus also has open plan classrooms which reflect future professional environments for students to familiarise themselves with.

In addition, various practical teaching spaces allow students to develop hands-on skills and engage in a highly differentiated curriculum. Both campuses offer a food technology kitchen, multimedia lab, textile makerspace and a woodworking room which facilitates the teaching of Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) subjects. Each campus also offers a science laboratory, visual art workshop, and a movement studio which provides students with the opportunity to actively engage with Science and Creative Arts subjects. The West Street campus also provides a metal workshop and a fitness lab.

Library

Both campuses have a library open to students Monday to Friday between 8am-3.15pm, including during recess and lunch times. Each library offers a wonderful study space and houses fiction and non-fiction books, graphic novels, newspapers, magazines, and various e-resources. Many board and card games are also available for students to use.

Both libraries have computers available for student use and feature lounges for reading. The Pacific Highway campus library has two seminar rooms with tables and chairs for use of Prowise boards. Prowise boards are multi-function, high-definition screens that allow interactive learning experiences. These seminar rooms have a concertina dividing wall to allow flexible use of the space for students and teachers. The West Street campus library has one seminar room with tables and whiteboards available for student use.
