Project Overview

The Department of Education (the department) is planning the development of a new senior campus to align with the recently completed Cammeraygal High School. The new Cammeraygal High School Senior Campus will cater for the current and projected population growth in the North Sydney area.

The project involves:

  • converting the existing Crows Nest TAFE building to a new Senior Campus High School
  • providing future-focused learning spaces for senior students
  • providing appropriate core facilities for staff and students in line with the Education Facilities Standards & Guidelines (EFSG)
  • the maximisation of outdoor and indoor play space.

The project is due for completion in early 2019.

A Project Reference Group (PRG) was formed in late 2016 to commence the planning and design process. The PRG includes members from the department, the school and the Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association. Meetings have been held on a basis to ensure the proposed design considers the requirements of all users and meets education needs.

A design has been developed and agreed upon by the PRG that meets the desired scope and maximises the potential of the site. The development application for the project was reviewed by North Sydney Council and approved on 8th November 2017. The construction work will commence in early 2018.
