Through learning science at Cammeraygal, students are able to develop critical thinking, problem solving, questioning, and scientific literacy skills.
Our goal is to develop our students into young adults with the ability to understand core scientific issues facing them, and make decisions based on their scientific understanding.
Students have the unique opportunity at Cammeraygal to learn from professional researchers in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics through, contextualised collaborative problem/project based learning with a focus on real world application. The teaching staff are devoted to enabling all students to achieve curriculum outcomes through differentiation and scaffolding of tasks to suit a range of student abilities, from helping students in need through to extending high achievers with personal research projects.
Cammeraygal also offers an extra-curricula science club for students seeking to extend their scientific knowledge. This club presents students with a unique opportunity to apply the skills they have learnt to tackle issues surrounding the school, and compete in state wide science competitions in robotics and engineering.
