The Mandatory Technology course engages and challenges students by providing them with a foundation of knowledge on which to build their skills. Students are introduced to dynamic new concepts, procedures and technological experiences in a diverse range of learning environments both in and outside the classroom.
At Cammeraygal students partake in a range of projects throughout the year that teach them to utilise the design process to design and produce a specific product. Within these units of work students use a range of investigative methods, analyses, production skills and evaluation.
Skills acquired in Technology include the ability to solve problems, communicate complex ideas, generate graphic representations of ideas and
produce innovative design models.
Students investigate various areas of study and design specialisations using a range of technologies.
Projects include:
- architecture and interior design
- industrial and surface design
- jewellery and accessory design
- model making
- digital media
Considering environmentally sustainable design, ethical and safe work practices are paramount to the Technology course.
